In state after state, Republicans argue
that they can no longer afford to pay
deferred compensation for public workers.
Like not paying the rest of the mortgage
(i.e., deferred payment on a house)
However, Republicans certainly don't have
any problem with deferred compensation
bonuses, golden handshakes, and pensions
being paid to CEO's and other executives
from what could otherwise be dividends for shareholders.
