Political Factoid

According to Scott Cohn of CNBC,
"[University of Oregon economist
Gordon Lafer] points to North Carolina,
a proud right-to-work state that
was once the heart of the U.S.
textile industry.  Since the North
American Free Trade Agreement
(NAFTA) took effect in 1994,
the state has lost more than
half its non-durable goods
manufacturing jobs, nearly
all going offshore."
