Political Factoid

Naturalizing citizens are required
to undertake an oath renouncing
previous allegiances,
. . .  but citizens naturally
born in other nations are
not required to undertake
such an oath when exerting
U.S. citizenship on the
basis of their parent(s)
being U.S. citizen(s).
