Political Factoid
In-state applicants should always
be given preference at
public state universities.
- The fundamental purpose of a state university
is to serve the citizens of that state.
- Lower-qualified, out-of-state students
should not be admitted when there is a
backlog of high-grade point in-state applicants.
- Out-of-state applicants, particularly
non-citizens, should not be admitted
in preference to qualified, in-state
applicants - unless the university makes
a significant, above-cost profit
from doing so.
