Bernie Sanders was always
a party of one.
- He was an Independent, not a
Democrat, in the U.S. Senate.
He only caucused with the
Democrats because he had
no caucus in his party of one.
- Sanders never said he was a
Democrat, even when he was
running in the Democratic primary.
In fact, whenever pressed,
he would only say he was
"running as a Democrat"
and that he was a
"Democratic Socialist."
- Sanders never had a party
organization when he ran for
president.
Sanders never raised a
dime for anyone else.
- He raised lots of money during his
presidental primary campaign.
The money came from many,
many individual people, but
only went for one person:
Bernie Sanders.
