Political Factoid
The Associated Press dug
in its heels* for three days,
while almost every other
(non-Trump) news organization
debunked an AP tweet as
false (grossly misleading at best).
- The AP took the list of visitors of Sec. Clinton
over her entire tenure in office as Secretary of State.
some 14,000 people.
- The AP crossed off the names of government personnel
that would normally meet with the Secretary of State.
- Then, they crossed off the names of non-government
people who could be recognized as normally having
business with the Secretary of State.
- After they had whittled the list down to about 150
names, the AP matched these names against a list
of Clinton Foundation donors
- Just over half of the 150 names matched
. . . including names like Bill Gates.
- The AP could not wait to scoop their competition with
their tweet that over half the people who met with
Sec. Clinton during those years were also contributors
to the Clinton Foundation.
- Donald Trump quickly grabbed the AP tweet and
shouted to his base that over half the people
who met with Sec. Clinton "were required"
to donate to the Clinton Foundation.
And then the AP blamed everything
on Donald Trump.

Just like what Donald Trump had been doing,
blaming someone else.
