On April 16, 2010, Republican Gov. Rick Perry*
wrote in a letter to President Barack Obama
"requesting" that the federal government
declare Texas a disaster area.
Maybe those Texas grass fires should just be declared
part of the environment and such protection made part of the
Republican budget cuts.
Perhaps all the smoke from those Texas fires is symbolic of
the debt-reduction smokescreen from the right side of the aisle.
