There are lots of the sex scandals in politics,
with some being higher profile than others:
 
PR Sen. Roberto Arango R-PR Resigned abruptly in 2011 when explicit, nude photos surfaced on the internet.
Gov. Robert J. Bentley R-AL Phone-sex tapes with senior aide in 2016.
The governor was forced to resign in a plea-bargin over criminal indictments.

Rep. Katherine Bryson R-UT Was caught in 2004 with a lover on a surveillance camera.
Rep.Helen Chenoweth R-ID Acknowledged having a six-year affair in the 1980s with a married rancher who later worked for her congressional staff.
President Bill Clinton D-AR 1998 affair with a 22-year-old White House intern
Sen. Larry Craig R-ID Arrested June 2007 for lewd conduct in airport bathroom;
Peaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge;
Announced his resignation two months later;
Changed his mind and served out his term, which ended in 2008.
Fmr.Sen.John Edwards D-NC Admitted in 2008 to a extramarital affair in 2006 and in 2010 finally acknowledged having a 2007 love child in that afair.

In June 2009, acknowledged he'd had an affair with Cynthia Hampton, the wife of one of his top aides.
Forced to step down as chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee
Remained in office and continued to face scrutiny over whether he crossed any lines in trying to cover up the affair.
Finally resigned in 2011 as the Ethics Commission was about to hold hearings with 'lots of evidence.'
Rep. Mark Foley R-FL Resigned in September 2006 following allegations that he sent sexually explicit e-mails and instant messages to teenage male congressional pages.
Checked into a rehabilitation clinic for alcoholism and admitted that he is a homosexual.
Rep. Vito Fossella R-NY In May 2008, admitted to having an extramarital affair with retired Air Force Lt. Col. Laura Fay, and that he is the father of her child.
Served out his term until January 2009, opting against running for re-election.
Rep. Al Frankin D-MN Resigned in 2018 amid sexual harassment allegations
Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich R-GA Twice had affairs with women (who became wives No.2 and No.3) including while he was actively leading the attempt to impeach President Clinton for his indescretions.
Gov. Eric Greitens R-MO Resigned over accusations of sexual misconduct and misusing a charity donor list.
Gov.Nikki Haley R-SC Twice "accused" of marital infidelity
(never acknowledged nor convicted).
Rep.Christopher Lee R-NY Resigned in 2011 after a Craigslist scandal
Rep.Bob Livingston R-LA Selected as Newt Gingrich's successor as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives late in 1998, but chose instead to withdraw and retire after extramarital affairs of his were discovered.
Rep. Eric Massa D-NY Resigned in March 2001 citing health reasons -- but it turns out he was facing accusations of having sexually harassed male staff members.
More than a month after he resigned, the House ethics committee opened a formal inquiry into whether congressional officials mishandled those allegations.
Rep. Vance McAllister R-LA Married, father of five, caught on 2014 surveillance video making out with a female staffer.
Gov.James McGreevy D-NJ Resigned in 2004 after gay affair became public.
Rep. Patrick Meehan R-PA Resigned in 2018 after sexual harashment charges and a taxpayer money payoff.
Sen.[candidate] Roy Moore R-AL The senate nominee and former state supreme court justice, and the Foundation for Moral Law, was accused by various women of having been sexually molested them when they were teenagers.
Rep. Tim Murphy R-PA The congressman, an outspoken opponent of abortion, announced his retirement after text messages surfaced in 2017 in which he had asked his mistress to terminate a pregnancy.
Carl Palandino R-NY New York State 2010 GOP gubernatorial hopeful Carl Paladino has 10-year-old "love child."
Fmr.Gov.Arnold Schwarzenegger R-CA In May 2011, he admitted he had had an affair and fathered a child with a married member of his household staff ten years previously, never disclosing it while he was in office.
Gov. Mark Sanford R-SC In June 2009, resigned as chairman of the Republican Governors Association, after he publicly revealed that he had an affair with an Argentine woman.  He was censured over the affair because of misuse of state travel funds.
Rep. Mark Souder R-IN In March 2010, he announced he would resign after admitting to an affair with a female aide who worked in his district office.  Sources indicated that the extent of the affair would have landed him before the House ethics committee.  Souder was originally elected in 1994 after running as a family-values conservative.
Gov.Eliot Spitzer D-NY Resigned March 2008 after it was reported that he had patronized a prostitution service called Emperors Club VIP
Sen.David Vitter R-LA Identified in July 2007 as a client of "D.C. Madam" Deborah Jeane Palfrey's high-priced prostitution service in Washington. 
Vitter, a staunch political conservative, admitted to the infidelity and issued a public apology for his "very serious sin."
Vitter remained in the Senate and ran for re-election in 2010.
(Palfrey, facing a prison sentence, killed herself.)
Rep.Anthony Weiner D-NY Inappropriate Facebook exchanges, including explicit photos, with women over the internet, about which he initially lied.
Rep.David Wu D-OR Accoused of an unwanted sexual encounter with an 18-year old.
The R's have it two-to-one.
