Some hospitals and other large
medical providers refuse to
provide (or deliberately delay)
necessary medical records
of their patient to the
patient's insurance company
. . . because the hospital
prefers to demand exorbitant
payments directly from the
patient* -- than to accept a
lower "negotiated" payment
from the insurance company.
