Political Factoid
Republicans have been
rigging elections since
the days of Newt Gingrich
and before.
The Georgia governor race in 2018
was a landmark case.*
- Purged over a million previous
registrations from the voting rolls.
- Refused federal money to improve
the security of their voting system.
- Refused to fund updating worn-out
voting and vote-counting equipment.
- Denied new registrations.
- Removed polling places from
minority neighborhoods.
- Reduced polling hours in
minority districts.
- Reduced early voting days.
- Sent out false mailing directions
to minority voters.
- Denied minority voters.
- Rejected ballots for alleged
inadequate exact signature match.
- Stamped absentee ballots "return
to sender"
- Hampered submittal of vote totals
from minority county from being
submitted into the central state
computer until 2-minutes after the
deadline, and then refused to include
them in state totals.

Did we mention that the GOP candidate
for governor was in charge of the
entire state-wide voting system?
