I headed down the basement
stairs to get something and
when I got to the bottom, I
thought of a couple of other
things I should get while I
was there,
. . . and when I got
back upstairs I realized
I had forgotten the thing
I originally went down
the basement to get.
Elected politicians have a similar
short-term memory problem when they
go down to the capital.
