It was not the conservatives who:
- Got women the right to vote.
- Got African-Americans the right to vote.
- Lifted millions of elderly out of poverty
by creating Social Security.
- Ended segregation.
- Passed the Civil Rights Act.
- Passed the voting rights bill.*
- Passed Medicare.
- Passed the Clean Air Act.**
- Passed the Clean Water Act.**

Albeit, the conservatives did take
away a lot of those voting rights in 2011.
