Political Factoid
Prior to becoming President,
G.W. Bush repeatedly said the
U.S. should not be trying to
do so much "nation building"
around the world, and should
have less military involvement
[than during the Clinton years].
Of course, once he became president and
had Dick Cheney (and others) pulling his
strings, President Bush started two major
foreign wars and embraced the so-called
nation building as though it was the
best thing since sliced bread.
