Political Factoid
Some people might say there is the
"implied appearance" that the Governor
of Indiana attempted to influence a
judge over a case involving voter fraud.
If the judge will reduce the six felony
jury convictions to misdimenors,
the Governor can reappoint his fellow
Republican as Attorney General and put
him back in charge of voting throughout
the state.
Meanwhile, the Governor made only a temporary
interim appointment of someone else, saying publicly
that it was "out of respect for the judge's authority
to lessen the verdict to a misdemeanor and
reinstate the elected office holder."
