reduce government and to ease
the responsibility, accountability,
and risk of business.*
Meanwhile, for many people, their
quality of life comes almost
entirely from local government:
- Good streets
- Ample and safe water and
sewer services
- Snow removal
- Quality schools
- Good parks for their children
- Law enforcement
- Fire protection
- Rapid emergency response
- A myriad of other services
... without which people's
comfort and welfare would be
greatly diminished.
