compelled the Rhode Island Economic
Development Corporation to give
$75 million in loan guarantees to a
video gaming company (38 Studios),
to entice them to relocate in Rhode
Island (from Massachusetts).
Two years later, the 38 Studios
closed its doors, and left the
state to cover over $100 million
in debts.
So where's the risk to the company?
