- Since it only affects rich people,
- only the rich people should decide
if there should be an inheritance tax.
- Since only large oil companies
produce gasoline,
- only they should decide how much
their product should be taxed.
- Since only equity owners are
affected by capital gains taxes,
- only such equity owners should
decide the tax rate for capital gains.
- Since only sick people need
medical insurance,
- such insurance should only be
sold to sick people.
- Since people only need life
insurance in the year they die,
- they should only have to pay for it
the year they die.
- Since only people with children
need schools,
- only they should have to pay
school taxes.
- Since only polluters affect the
environment,
- only the polluters should decide
what environmental regulations
there should be.
- Since only criminals break the
laws,
- it is only the criminals who
should be making the laws.
- Since only politicians in office
can be voted out or back in,
- only such incumbents* should
be allowed to vote.
