Political Factoid
Since 1994 and the
Republican Revolution,
when the
Republicans won control of Congress for the
first time in forty years,
- The GOP has shifted steadily and
further to the right.
- The aisle in Congress has widened
into a chasm.
- The GOP has been increasingly less
cooperative with the Democrats,
i.e., less bipartisan.
- The influence of big money has
grown exponentially.
- The bullying across the aisle
(and behind the scenes in committees)
has been increasing.
- The transfer of wealth from the
working class to the wealthy class
has reached new records.
- American manufacturing jobs have
been on the decline because of GOP
tax code policies.
- Increasily, markets have been taken
over by oligopolies
(if not by out-and-out regional monopolies).
