Pre-2015 Republican Dream
By retaining tight control of
the House, and getting control
of the Senate and White House,
it will then be possible to:
- Eliminate health care
- Eliminate all taxes on wealth
(Corporate profits, high income rates,
capital gains, interest and dividends,
estates, etc.)
- Roll back financial controls
(Dodds-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley)
- Discontinue Medicare
- Privatize Social Security*
- Eliminate the EPA
(Environmental Protection Agency)
- Repeal the Civil Rights Act
- Permanently restrict voting to
favor a right outcome
- Eliminate all gun controls
- Eliminate the Department of Education
(and federal student loans)
- Eliminate the Department of Energy
(and all restrictions on drilling)
- Regulate women's health
- Deport all undocumented immigrants
(with selective exemptions granted
by Members of Congress)
- Cancel collective bargaining
rights for public workers
- Accelerate outsourcing
- Protect offshore accounts
- Open all public land to development
- Auction off the National Parks
- ... and appoint Supreme Court Justices
to help all this happen.
