to Republican candidate Mitt Romney
reportedly told a British newspaper,
"The [Obama] White House
didn't fully appreciate the
shared history* we have."
The Romney campaign promptly denied the story.
Unfortunately, the rumor does reflect a lot of
apparent sentiment in American politics these
days.
