The 2011 governor of Florida was once president<1>
 
of the largest private for-profit health care company<2>
 
and spent nearly $75 million of his own money
 
to win the election.
 
<1> He was forced out of the company as Chief Executive amid a scandal over the company's business and Medicare billing practices.
<2> The company was involved in the largest case on record of defrauding Medicare.  It ultimately admitted to fourteen felonies and paid $1.7 billion in criminal and civil fines following an FBI investigation.
