lobbied hard for what Michael Powell,
president of the National Cable &
Telecommunications Association (NCTA)
called a "pro-consumer" change to
the FCC rules that will enable cable
operators to require consumers to
pay more fees and have to rent more
proprietary setup boxes.
(Powell also has a bridge to sell the public.)
