negotiations, the Senate Minority
leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)
suddenly injected an unbalanced
deal-breaking monkey wrench.
It was as though Grover Norquist, the
increasingly aggressive blackmailer
and dictator of Republican tax policy,
had gotten to McConnell*
