Political Factoid
Hunger is nothing to joke about. However,
in a 1964 speech Republican Ronald Reagan said,
"We were told four years ago that 17 million people went to bed hungry each night. Well, that was probably true. They were all on a diet."
Later he tried to clarify what he had said, claiming hunger in America to be "simply a problem of distribution." *
-- which he did not solve as President
-- nor has it been solved now five-decades later.

Try telling that to the hungry children of America.
