Political Factoid
For two decades, Montana lawyers
have advertised to out-of-state
residents, to convince them to set
up a shell company in Montana
(where there is no general sales tax)
... and register their expensive
recreational vehicles under
the firm's name to avoid
paying millions of dollars of
taxes in their home states.
This is clearly tax evasion, not tax avoidance,
and for which those Montana lawyers should
be held accountable.
