Political Factoid
If a foreign country, such as Syria,
were to attack Americans overseas,
President Obama could be trapped
by restrictions on his ability to
immediately send troops to help,
due to:
- Iraq-war-phobia on the part of the entire nation
- Left-wing liberals who are against all wars
- The "wolf, wolf" cries of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)
and other hawkish members of Congress
- Tea Party Republicans (who are generally
both spendthrifts and isolationists)
- Other Congressional Republicans who will
find fault with whatever action the
the President takes (or does not take)
- Members of Congress in general who insist
only Congress can make such decisions
