That may be true -- back when
Congressman Boehner was
first elected to Congress back
in 1991.
But it certainly was not true for
most members of his caucus, who
are relatively newbies -- many of
whom came to Congress explicitly
to shut down the government.
And it was not true on the day
that Speaker Boehner advocated
the ransom demands of the Tea
Party members of his caucus.
