Political Factoid

If the Highway Trust Fund
cannot get increased
gas tax revenues*
... then big corporations
should not be allowed
to increase prices,
e.g., a pound of hamburger
should sell for no more than
$0.90, loaf of bread $0.70, and
gasoline at the pump should
be only about a dollar a gallon.
* Stuck since 1993 at 18-cents a gallon
when the typical price at the pump
was just over a dollar per gallon.
