budget deficit for
all of the states
was $175 billion.
With loss of state income tax revenue from unemployeed workers,
with the loss of state sales taxes from people who cannot afford to buy anything,
with the loss of property taxes from foreclosed houses,
with the loss of property asset base from the housing burst,
with the lost of corporate taxes due to Republican-driven tax cuts,
... is it any wonder!
